Great quick article for many of the reasons cursive works wonderfully for all children but, especially those with dyslexia and dysgraphia. My youngest student was 4 1/2 years old so I had the opportunity to teach him cursive before he learned print. Despite his dysgraphia, 13 years later he loves and still prefers to write in cursive and journals daily! My students love learning cursive and enjoy the linkages used when we skywrite, look, listen and most importantly feel kinesthetically as their beautiful brains imprint the sound/symbol correspondence of the individual letters, digraphs, combinations, diphthongs, etc....!!!
